Kaz Minerals makes progress - at last according to this report from Asia Miner.  Kaz Minerals (formerly Kazakhmys Mining until it was split last year) has three copper mining projects in the pipeline:

- Boshakul project between Astana and Pavlodar

- Aktogay project in Eastern Kazakhstan

- Koksay project in south central Kazakhstan

Boshakul has been in the pipeline for far longer than one would expect, due to a series of setbacks, both organisational and technical.  It is still not on-stream (imminent apparently but don't hold your breath) has been overtaken by Aktogay which has not suffered the same problems.  Koksay is a long way down the line.
