And The Winner Is...Uzbekistan!

The world's most productive gold mine is Muruntau in Uzbekistan at 61 tonnes per year
Muruntau Pit, Zarafshan, Uzbekistan

An article in mining.com lists the world's largest gold mines

Uzbekistan's Government's Muruntau Pit (NGMK) at 61 tonnes p.a. strolls away with it over 2nd placed Grasberg (indonesia) at 42.3 tpa and 3rd placed Goldstrike (US) at 32.8 tpa (all 2015 figures)

Of course, everyone believes everything that comes out of Uzbekistan, right? And I wonder if that is what is mined or what is sold after syphoning?

I can attest to the size though. I've seen it for myself
