Been offline for a while because of a very busy assignment in Kyrgyzstan.  More in detail on this later and on the fascinating country.  This was a logistics study for a new mine to be developed in the remote mountains of Western Kyrgyzstan and involved discussions with local organisations and logistics providers and driving the long route from the capital city Bishkek to Chatkal Valley high in the mountains, crossing passes well over 3,000m.  Lots of snow although it wasn’t particularly cold and the roads were clear although an avalanche split the two vehicle in our convoy 5 minutes apart.

More to follow about this interesting assignment and trip over coming days.  Also we will wrap up our earlier work on setting up supply chain for new mines.
